Rules Automation Setup (Auto Top-Ups & Low Balance Notifications)

Threasury lets you automate wallet and ad-account actions so ads don’t stop on empty balance.

Using Rules:

  • Low balance notifications (wallet or ad account)
  • Automatic top-ups for ad accounts that support instant top-ups

Auto top-up pulls from your Threasury wallet. It does not charge your bank or card. If the wallet is empty, nothing happens.

Currency must match

A USD wallet can only auto-top-up USD ad accounts (EUR→EUR, INR→INR, …). There is no automatic FX in this flow. Convert in-app first if you need another currency.

Which accounts can use auto top-up

Instant API top-ups (Meta, TikTok HK, Google) can. EU TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest top-ups are manual — auto top-up rules do not run on those the same way. If speed matters, use HK where the platform allows it.

Setting up rules

1. Low balance notifications

  1. Dashboard → Rules → Create New Rule → Balance Notification
  2. Wallet or a specific ad account
  3. Set the threshold and schedule (about every hour, or daily)
  4. Choose the email

2. Automatic top-ups

  1. Rules → Auto Top-Up
  2. One rule per ad account
  3. Trigger threshold + top-up amount
  4. Schedule: Continuously (~every 60 min), Daily (5:00 AM IST), or Every 3 hours

Minimum auto top-up amount is $200 USD (or the region minimum if higher) — the same 200-in-currency floor as a manual top-up, not a “first top-up only” extra.

Once live, the system allocates from wallet → ad account when the balance hits your trigger.

Example if you spend ~$300/day:

  • Wallet low-balance alert → enough for 1–2 days
  • Ad-account trigger → comfortably above zero
  • Auto top-up amount → at least one day of spend, ≥ $200

Also set a wallet alert so auto top-up does not fail silently.

4. When a rule turns itself off

A rule auto-disables after:

  • 3 consecutive failures (usually empty wallet), or
  • 30 days of user inactivity

You get an email; you must re-enable it yourself.

If a provider fails mid top-up, the deducted amount is not auto-refunded — it sits pending for finance. Message support.

5. Editing or deleting

Rules → select → Edit or Delete. Changes apply immediately.
