Rules Automation Setup (Auto Top-Ups & Low Balance Notifications)

Threasury allows you to automate important wallet and account actions so your ads never stop due to low balance.

Using Rules Automation, you can set up:

  • Low balance notifications
  • Automatic top-ups for ad accounts that support instant top-ups

These rules ensure smooth spending, reduced downtime, and complete control over your ad account maintenance.

What Are Rules?

Rules are automated triggers that take action when certain conditions are met — such as your wallet or ad account balance falling below a specific amount. You will receive a notification on your configured email every time a trigger completes an action.

You can create rules for:

  • Sending notifications for low balance - available for both Ad account and Threasury wallet
  • Automatically topping up ad accounts at a threshold value set by you

Setting Up Rules

1. Low Balance Notifications

These alerts help you stay informed about the funds remaining in your Ad account/Threasury wallet.

How to set it up:
  1. Go to Dashboard → Rules
  2. Click Create New Rule
  3. Choose Balance Notification
  4. Select whether the rule applies to:
  • Your Wallet, or
  • Specific Ad Account
  1. Set the Balance Threshold
  • Example: Notify me when balance goes below $100
  1. Set the schedule - If you would like to be reminder every hour or once daily
  2. Choose notification email on which you want to be notified
  3. Save the rule

Once saved, the system will automatically alert you whenever the balance falls below your set value.

Set the threshold at least a day before depletion based on your daily spend to avoid ad pauses.

2. Automatic Top-Ups

Auto top-ups ensure your ad accounts never stop spending due to low balance.

How to set it up:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Rules
  2. Click Create New Rule
  3. Select Auto Top-Up
  4. Choose the ad account you want to automate
  5. Set your Trigger Threshold
    • Example: When balance falls below $50
  1. Set the Auto Top-Up Amount
    • Example: Add $200 from wallet
  1. Set the schedule - If you would like to run every hour or once daily
  2. Confirm and save the rule

Once live, the system will automatically top up the selected ad account whenever the balance hits your trigger threshold.

Auto top-ups draw money from your Threasury wallet balance, not your card or bank directly. Ensure your wallet has sufficient funds.

To avoid disruption:

  • Wallet low balance threshold: 1–2 days of your average spend
  • Ad account low balance: At least 2–3x your hourly/daily burn
  • Auto top-up amount: Minimum of 1 day or 2 days’ worth of ad spend
Example: If you spend $300/day

Low balance alert → $100

Auto top-up trigger → $50

Auto top-up amount → $300–$600

When setting an auto top-up rule, we recommend configuring a wallet balance rule as well. This ensures you’re notified whenever your balance is low and can add funds in time, helping prevent auto top-ups from failing.

4. Editing or Deleting Rules

You can update or remove rules at any time.

  1. Go to Rules
  2. Select the rule you want to modify
  3. Click Edit or Delete
  4. Save changes

Changes apply instantly.

5. Common Issues & Fixes

Issue: Auto top-up didn’t work
  • Wallet has insufficient balance → Add more funds
  • Rule threshold set too low → Increase the value
  • Rule disabled → Re-enable it
Issue: Not receiving notifications
  • Email not correct
  • Email landing in spam
  • Threshold too low or unrealistic
If auto top-up fails for any reason more than three times, the rule will be turned off automatically. You will need to manually enable it again from the Rules page.

Benefits of Automation

Rules help you:

  • Prevent ad account pauses
  • Reduce manual monitoring
  • Maintain consistent campaign performance
  • Avoid sudden drops in ROAS due to downtime

Automation gives you full control while keeping operations smooth and reliable.
