# What Are Domain and Page Locking?

Domain locking and page locking are used on **Hong Kong Meta** agency ad accounts to keep the account tied to the website and Page that were approved at creation.

**EU and India** Meta accounts (and US, when one is issued) are **flexible**: domain and page can be changed. Even then, we recommend **one domain + one page per ad account**.

### 1. What is domain locking?
On a **locked** (HK Meta) account you can run ads **only** for the domain(s) approved at creation. Adding a new domain later is not possible on that account. Request a **new** ad account.

This stops sudden switches to a risky domain and keeps account quality stable.

### 2. What is page locking?
On a locked account you may use **only the Page(s)** approved at creation. You cannot attach a different Page later.

### 3. Two companies, two offers, or two websites
Two companies, two domains, or two unrelated offers typically need **separate ad accounts**. Request each from **Ad Accounts → Request New Ad Account**.

If both offers use the **same already-approved domain**, ask support before you launch.

### 4. Why locking exists
It protects against hacks, unapproved pages, and policy-violating domain swaps, one of the reasons HK agency accounts stay more stable when the brand is already fixed.
