# Understanding Ad Account Regions

This guide explains the regional ad accounts we issue and how they differ. **Region is about billing, currency, locking, and who provisions the account, not about where you can target.** Every region can target globally.

We currently work with **Europe, Hong Kong, and India** as standard options. **US-region Meta is not openly available.** It is issued case-by-case only, requires explicit internal approval, and should not be assumed.

# Currencies
* **Europe:** USD, EUR, GBP, AUD
* **Hong Kong Meta / TikTok / Snapchat / Pinterest:** USD
* **India:** INR only
* **Google:** USD only, and can advertise globally
* Also supported on the platform overall: **SGD** (wallet). MXN, HKD, CAD, AED, TRY, MYR are **not** available as ad-account currencies.

Pick region based on the **currency you want to be billed in**, not where your audience lives.
* EUR / GBP / AUD → **EU**
* INR (GST invoices) → **India**
* USD → EU or HK (and US only if we have explicitly agreed)

Currency and timezone are normally fixed once the account is activated or funded. Support may sometimes correct the currency while a request is still pending and the account has never been topped up. Otherwise, a new ad account is required and unused funds can be reallocated.

# Fees (Commission, Level 1: confirm in the app)
* Meta **EU 4%** · Meta **HK 3%** · Meta **India 3%** · Meta **CC 4%**
* US-region Meta has no standard public rate. Do not quote one without explicit internal approval.
* Fees auto-reduce with Levels & Thresholds on **top-up** accounts. CC accounts do not get those reductions.

# Domain / page locking
* **HK Meta:** domain and page are **locked** at creation and cannot be changed later
* **EU / India** (and US when issued): **flexible**

Even on flexible regions we recommend one domain + one page per ad account.

# Starting spend limit (HK Meta)
Hong Kong Meta accounts start at a **$350** daily spend limit. It increases with fully compliant spending.

# Pinterest
Pinterest is **HK only** (EU Pinterest is discontinued). The domain must be **at least 6 months old**. Currency is USD.

# Issuance & top-ups
* Most new accounts: **12–24 hours** after approval
* Accounts provisioned by the HK partner team (HK Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Google): **Hong Kong weekdays** (UTC+8), not weekends or HK public holidays
* Meta / TikTok HK / Google top-ups: **instant API, 24/7**
* Snapchat & Pinterest top-ups: **manual**, HK-team hours
* EU TikTok top-ups: **manual**, ~9:00–18:00 CET weekdays

# Inactivity
* **HK Meta:** closed after **30 days** idle and **cannot** be reopened
* **EU:** closed after **3 months** idle and **can** be reopened (often as a new account)

# Which region for performance?
Usually similar. Results depend more on product, creatives, and targeting than on region.
